The Switch is Winning The Console Wars.

Back in March of 2017, the Switch was released.  Ever since then Nintendo has found many innovative ways to get great use out the system.  With games Like Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the system has definitely been a great system to have on the go.  Many who got the Switch early on, have had the feeling that the system wouldn’t be able to compete with the PS4 and Xbox One.

The Xbox One and the PS4 are sure to grab customers dollars, but the Switch is slowly winning this war.  At this years E3 event Sony didn’t really have a press conference and what I saw for Xbox was enough to make me sell my console and just wait for the Scarlett.  Dont get me wrong I am definitely Team Xbox, but even with Sony not having a presence on the stage, Sony was still showed through most of the Triple AAA titles that is due to come out for the system.  With that being said, I knew that all of my hopes would be with Nintendo this year.  Let me tell you!  They didn’t fell.  Nintendo came out of the blue corner with hooks and uppercuts.  This years E3 belonged to Nintendo.  From the beginning of their presentation, I was fully submerged and hooked,  Every game that they showed, I would rewind on Youtube, just so that I could a full diagnostics of what the game will be like.  As Im writing this, in just a few short weeks, I am sure to be short on cash as the Switch has a whole arsenal of games coming out that I want.

Among these titles, Links Awakening, Astral Chain, hopefully Panzer Dragoon, and above all else Dragon Quest.  Oh don’t forget Pokemon either!  I’m feeling kind of off with Daemon X Machina, but I feel before it comes out it will win me over.  Now with that said, what does Xbox and PS4 have to me offer me this holiday season…….Doom Eternal and Borderlands 3 and maybe Code Vein.  That’s definitely a big difference for me this year.  Usually during the Holiday season I am stocking up on about 5 to 6 games, but with most of their games due to release next year, The Switch is really pulling the rug right from beneath their competition.

Switch console

Just to sweeten the deal, On Sept, 20 Nintendo plans to release the Lite.  While not being able to hook up to a TV, the handheld boasts not only to make a smaller Switch, but to add another 2.5 hours of battery to the machine and will still be able to play all of the Switch games that are in the library.  That’s a hell of a feat Nintendo!  (A round of Applause.)  Do I plan on getting a Nintendo Lite?  I highly doubt it.  Im fine with original Switch and I know I still love to go to TV mode at times.  One thing I am concerned with, that if not acknowledged will hurt the Switch, those Joycons.  We all know, either you’ve been there or in time you will get there, but the drifting Joycons for the Switch are pain in the butt.  Nintendo has decided to start repairing the Joycons for free, but If Nintendo doesn’t come up with a game plan soon as far as building better Joycons, they will be a losing a nice piece of money.

With the Holidays soon, to be around the corner, what games do you plan on picking up?  Are you getting a Nintendo Switch Lite?  Do you plan on getting games for the PS4 or the Xbox?  Whatever, the case may be, just remember, Nintendo is slowly but surely winning this console war.  I still have faith in PS4 and XBOX, but I still feel Nintendo is being aggressive and pushing out more software titles this year.  Nintendo is in it to win it!
