Earlier this month the Solstice Event released for Destiny 2, and the big ole event of stoking the bonfire to get them. This year event is a little different in the way you go about getting materials. This year you will be given a solstice forge where you will use silver leaves to either, rotate certain bounties you want to do and purchasing the bounties you want to do. Once you do the bounties, you will be rewarded with alloy materials for the different sets of armor that you completed bounties for. You will also be rewarded with items from Solstice packages upon completion. The event so far for me has been a breeze. I’ve gotten my God rolls on the bow and the rocket launcher that I wanted. The hand cannon Something New has rolls that I have been interested in as well, but I think I’m going to do a little more farming before calling it quits on that weapon.
As far as the more premium side of things, I was tempted to buy the event card, but unfortunately didn’t see anything that I wanted. I did have over 6000 bright dust hanging around, so I decided to go on and buy the subclass glows….unless you got $15 bucks to burn. Haha. Ole greedy Bungie. Anyhow maybe once the Halloween or Dawning event show up later this year I may get something from those event cards. I also noticed this year that they have a memento for the Solstice event. I may put a little more effort into the event before it leaves so that I may get one, but as of late I’ve been kind of burned out. Not just from Destiny, but life in general. Just like all things it comes and goes, I’m sure I’ll be hit by the Destiny bug again at some point.
If you haven’t already be sure to get those bounties done from Space Grandma, and also get those bounties done for the Solstice Forge. I’m still working on stuff. I got the free white glow for this year, but I’m working on transmog bounties so that I may complete my look later this year. If you look above you can already see that I got a certain aesthetic going on. I think we got another week for the event to go on before it leaves, so if you can get it done. Until next time.
