“Xbox Has 90% Off Games Right Now — Here Are A Few Worth Buying”

Let’s be honest, gaming can get expensive. Between new releases dropping at $70 or more, DLC, subscriptions, and everything else, sometimes you just want to find something good to play without spending a ton of money.

That’s where the Xbox sales come in. There are always games worth checking out if you’re willing to dig around a little. And with some of these discounts, you might find something you missed the first time around — or something you’ve been meaning to pick up but didn’t want to pay full price for.

Here are a few games on sale that caught my attention.

Golf With Your Friends — $1.99

If you’ve got friends who enjoy a little friendly competition, Golf With Your Friends is worth a look at this price. Mini golf might not sound like the most exciting thing in the world, but throw in some ridiculous courses and a group of people trying to ruin each other’s shots, and you’ve got a good time.

At $1.99, this is the kind of game that’s easy to recommend if you’re looking for something casual to play with friends.

Mafia: Definitive Edition — $5.99

If you missed Mafia: Definitive Edition, this is a good opportunity to check it out. It brings the original Mafia story back with updated visuals and presentation, putting you in the shoes of Tommy Angelo as he gets pulled into the criminal underworld.

For six bucks, you’re getting a story-driven crime game that’s worth considering if you enjoy games with a strong narrative and a cinematic feel.

Borderlands 3 — $5.99

If looter-shooters are your thing, Borderlands 3 is another game worth checking out. You know what you’re getting here: plenty of guns, ridiculous characters, and a whole lot of loot to chase.

It might not be everybody’s cup of tea, but if you enjoy running through missions, collecting better gear, and building out a character, there’s plenty here to keep you busy. At $5.99, it’s an easy one to put on your radar.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection — $9.99

Now, I can’t talk about games worth picking up without bringing up Halo: The Master Chief Collection. If you grew up playing Halo or somehow missed out on the series, this collection is worth a look.

You’re getting six campaigns in one package: Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2: Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4. That’s a whole lot of Master Chief and friends to keep you busy, whether you’re revisiting some classics or experiencing these games for the first time.

And let’s not forget the multiplayer. Halo has always been about more than just the campaign, and this collection gives you access to a ton of classic maps and multiplayer action.

At $9.99, down from $39.99, this is one of those deals that’s hard to ignore if you’re a fan of shooters. Just keep in mind that the collection is also available through Game Pass, so subscribers should check their membership before buying.

Mortal Kombat 11 — $4.99

Sometimes you don’t need a massive open world or a hundred-hour RPG. Sometimes you just want to sit down and fight.

Mortal Kombat 11 delivers the brutal fighting action the series is known for, with a roster of familiar faces and plenty of ways to settle a score. If you’ve been waiting for the price to come down before adding it to your collection, $4.99 is worth a look.

LEGO Worlds — $5.99

For something a little different, there’s LEGO Worlds. It leans into the creative side of gaming, letting you explore environments and build things using LEGO-style pieces.

It’s not going to scratch the same itch as a serious action game, but if you enjoy experimenting, exploring, and creating your own little worlds, it might be worth checking out at this price.

Looking for Something Bigger? Check Out These Deals Too

If you’re willing to spend a little more, there are a few other games worth keeping an eye on.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been listed for $14.99, which is worth considering if you somehow missed one of the biggest open-world games of the last generation. If you prefer crime games with a modern setting, Grand Theft Auto V has also been listed for $19.99.

And if you’re looking for something newer, Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been listed for $27.99. That’s still more money than the budget picks above, but it could be an option if you’ve been waiting for a bigger discount.

Just make sure you check the exact edition and Xbox version before buying. Sale prices and availability can change.

Final Thoughts

The best thing about these sales is that you don’t have to buy the newest release to find something worth playing. Sometimes the best move is grabbing a game you missed a few years ago, finding something to play with friends, or adding another title to that ever-growing backlog.

My advice? Figure out what you’re in the mood for, set a budget, and don’t buy a game just because it’s on sale. A discount doesn’t mean much if the game is going to sit in your library untouched.
